Ne-a părăsit poeta Alicia Ghiragossian

Celebra poetă de origine armeană Alicia Ghiragossian a decedat la 22 mai la locuința sa din Los Angeles

Născută în anul 1936 la Cordoba ( Argentina) Alicia Ghiragosian a publicat numeroase poezii în armeană și spaniolă precum și traducerea, în limba spaniolă a romanului Hent (Nebunul) de Raffi

În anul 2007 a primit premiul Academiei din Armenia “pentru filozofia sa în poezie”. A fost onorată și de Academia de Științe a Armeniei cu titlul de “Doctor Honoris Cauza”

FATHERLAND
I would like to buy
the face of my childhood.
To take it out
of the photo album
of refugees
and draw it identically
in another land
– that of my ancestors –
naked
newly born
from the fires
because in spite
of all the lives
I have lived
I am still not myself.
I would like to wander
through the streets
of that land
pregnant with freedom
where bones
were burst
with gun powder
on a bed of flags.
I would like to touch
that land
to feel my past
in its fragrance
and reclaim
my essence.
